Bandar Khayran is worth the 30 minutes drive from Muscat along the Yitti to Al-Sifa road just to get a glimpse of the stunning bays. Bandar Khayran is one of the beautiful inlets that make the Muscat coastlines so extraordinary by which tourists in Oman visit quiet often.
Together with the fellow adventure-spirited and blogger Hexebella we explored the beauty of the place. We were so amazed how a handsome inlet surrounded by nature is just less than an hour away from Muscat, a beautiful pool of seawater hugged by the road going to Al Sifah.
And here we have our handsome escorts, the two expat boys enjoying their time out in the sun, collecting rocks, and, obviously loving the time out in the real open surrounded by nature.
From that view deck at the side of the road going to Al Sifah we continued to the mountain top overlooking the whole place.
Standing atop of the mountain overlooking Bandar Khayran we see all the stunning lagoons giving off the freshest air that makes the atmosphere quite cold! brrr
After eating lunch on top of Bandr Khayran viewing mountain we headed on to Yiti beach. Going down the road, we passed by a hidden gulf of water with this abandoned sea vessel that look like washed up on the shore for a long period of time.
The unique sedimentary rocks formation that covers that shore are also good feature of the place and most probably formed over a long period.
After a few minutes of long winding road we reached the beautiful and clean Yiti beach.
Yiti beach is just as fascinating. We spent all afternoon at that side of the beach as the two expat boys enjoyed swimming & playing with the waves.
You need to bring your own stuff if you plan to visit Yiti beach as the place is underdeveloped and there is no available facilities yet, probably at the moment.
One of the nearest 5 star hotels are Shangrila Bar Al Jissah and Al Bustan Palace, A Ritz-Carlton Hotel on the way going to Qantab.
