Time is the only resource in life that once gone it never come back again. Every second that passes creates history in our life that cannot be undone. Everything passes with time its gone, forever like a continuous flowing current of water in a river that once passed you by it never returns. We all had been given 24 hours in a day and nobody receives less or more, yet some people do more and some do less in maximizing this powerful resource. This only suggests that we should seize every moment in our life, grasping every opportunity to do good or even better.
From the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People", the author discussed how to properly dispose of our time. Utilizing the illustration of a jar filled with big rocks, pebbles and sand, he explains that big rocks represents the major or important things in our life, our priorities that has to be done first. Whatever your priorities are, these are the big rocks that you have to fit in in your jar of time first to make sure all these important things are taken care of. Thus we have to fill our jars of time with the big rocks first. Pebbles represent the things that matters a little, like our hobbies, other interests that falls into the not-so-important categories. These fall into our second best priorities, that has to fit "only" after the big rocks has been settled. These things we have to put it in our jar of time as a second priority only. And lastly the sands represents the menial things in our life, the things that we can do without. These things we have to put in our jar of time as last priorities, that even if they don't fit at all, it will not make any difference so we don't care.
Filling our time with our priorities benefits both us and the people around us, whether in our family or at work. Everyone benefits from the productivity we bring. The seed that you plant today are the fruits you will reap tomorrow. So carry on, plant your seeds of productivity and never stop working on your dreams in your "time" given by your Creator. :)
'Till next peeps!!! Ciao.
