Bangkok is one of a nice place to visit during holiday or vacation. It's Christmas time again, and it was also this time of the year when I had the chance to roam around this colorful city. I was on my way to Oman from Philippines after my yearly vacation. The place never disappoint, it was one memorable experience.
Bangkok, Thailand
Here, I am posing in front of a monument of what seems to be their leader. Thailand as it seems is a very peaceful country offering a tourist-friendly environment.
I roam around the city riding in their local ride called "Tuktuk" which costs only 250 Baht for a tour around the city for half a day.
Inside Tuktuk (a local cab) in Bangkok, Thailand.
I have some few loot beside me, but this time I wasn't done yet, since towards the middle of the day this cute vehicle is full of stuff. Shopping is a heaven since almost everything was cheap, from clothes to just anything you will find in the market. I wish I can always go back to satiate this little shopaholic inside me.
Buddhist Shrine
As I roamed around I noticed that Buddhist shrines are all around the city. Since the official religion in Thailand is Buddhism, you will find a miniature Buddhist temple just anywhere in every corner, just like at my back in this photo. Though almost 95% of the country's population is Buddhist it is a relief to know that law is protecting the tolerance of other religion!
At the end of an exhausting yet exciting journey of the the sky scrapper Baiyoke Suite is my final destination for the day. A place so ideal for a traveler, with nice staff and amazing facilities.
At Reception
I remember spending the night having dinner in the rooftop restaurant of Baiyoke Suite which overlook the whole city of Bangkok.
In the morning, just the same, the outside view give the place a sense of an amazing retreat. Through it all, still travelling alone gives me a little bit sense emptiness :(
If you would like to book a hotel in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand in a fair cheapest rate check out my hotel booking website.
Happy journey!! :)
